Compatible Assessment Process
To gauge your comprehension of maths skills, this Functional Skills Maths Entry Level 2 Course will evaluate you via single assessments, which are internally reviewed by the assessor and monitored and marked by the exam board. Once you complete the test, your results will be sent to Pearson Edexcel’s internal verifier. If you successfully complete all three components, the awarding body will provide you with the qualification certificate.
The exam must be taken in our authorised office in London or Swindon on the scheduled day.
However, you must register for the exam at least three weeks before the exam date.
Exam Format
Students must pass two sections to receive the Pearson Edexcel and NCFE Functional Skills Qualification in Maths at Entry Level 2 certificate. The exam format is provided below:
Section A
- Duration: 25 minutes
- Marks awarded: 7
- Qualification percentage: 25%
- The use of a calculator is not allowed
Section B
- Duration: 65 minutes.
- Marks awarded: 21 marks
- Qualification percentage: 75%
- The use of a calculator is allowed
